Maurice "Amazingx" Stückenschneider is the Jungler Icon.png Jungler for Fnatic Academy.

Biography

Amazingx is a German League of Legends player hailing from Bocholt, Germany. He first started playing games on consoles, and his first game was Crash Bandicoot when he was between five and six years old. He stuck to console gaming and played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and games from the Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid series.

League of Legends Career

It was only in 2010 that Maurice started playing PC games, as he participated in ESL events in Counter Strike: Source. However, his breakthrough came in League of Legends, a while after his brother introduced him to it. Initially dismissive of the cartoon-like looks, Amazingx came back to the game sometime during Season 1, and he specialized in AD carries such as
Ashe
and
Ezreal
.

Season 3
However, the German player's drive to make an impact on the games he played soon led him to embrace the jungle role. Using
Udyr
,
Shyvana
and
Lee Sin
, Amazingx rose through the ranks and peaked at 2.8k elo in Season 2. His progression drew notice from a multitude of teams, the most notable at the time being LCS Season 3 Qualifier participant Team Acer. However, a string of misfortunate attempts at reaching the LCS saw him stand at the brink of retirement, but Shook's defection to Alliance allowed Maurice to settle into his former team, the Copenhagen Wolves. It was with this team that he reached the LCS.

Season 4
In May 2014, he joined Team SoloMid as their new jungler after former jungler TheOddOne stepped down to a coaching position for the team. In October 2014, he stepped down from his starting position in TSM's starting roster and was looking for a new team to join the EU LCS again. Finally he joined his current team Origen. [1]

Origen placed first in the EU Challenger Series Spring Playoffs and quickly qualified for the EU LCS. In their debut split as a team, they finished 2nd in the regular season with H2k-Gaming contesting them for the spot. In the EU LCS Summer Playoffs, Origen defeated H2K in the Semifinals and despite falling to the undefeated Fnatic in the finals, they gave them their only 2 single game losses of the split. At the 2015 EU LCS Regional Qualifier, Origen defeated Team ROCCAT in the 2nd round and Unicorns of Love in the third round. This qualified them for the 2015 World Championship as Europe's 3rd seed. At Worlds, Origen was drawn into Group D along with KT Rolster, LGD Gaming and Team SoloMid. They finished the group with a 4-2 record only dropping a game to LGD and KT. Despite knocking out the Flash Wolves 3-1 in the Quarterfinals, Origen were defeated by SK Telecom T1 in the Semifinals with a 3-0 sweep.

Season 6
In the 2016 Season, the team added PowerOfEvil to their line-up. Origen went on to attended IEM Season X/San Jose. They defeated Team SoloMid and Counter Logic Gaming to win the event. This was the first international tournament that Origen won. Despite good expectations for the team, they had a lackluster EU LCS Spring Regular Season and finished 4th with a 11-7 record.

Summer Split was a sad story for Amazingx and Origen as they finished 9th in the rankings and had to go through the Promotion Tournament to re-qualify for the 2017 Season. This also forfeited the Championship Points they earned from Spring. Fortunately, the team was able to win over Challenger team Misfits in a 3-0 victory, thus securign their spot for the following split.

However, Amazingx departed from Origen. On December 1st, it was announced that he will be joining Fnatic together with sOAZ and will be playing alongside Rekkles, Caps and Jesse for the 2017 Season.
