Biography

Jree is a professional League of Legends player from Västerås, Sweden. His first contact with gaming happened as he played Unreal Tournament 1999 and NHL 99 on PC. He then transitioned to World of Warcraft, where he achieved Gladiator in 5v5s.

In November 2010 (LeBlanc patch), Jree's friends introduced him to League of Legends. The Swede player was thrilled by the differences MOBAs bring, as one could select champions, differently from one game to another. As such, he stuck to it, and his  Janna-empowered ascension through the soloqueue ranks allowed him to land in a number of teams. He competed in multiple Go4LoLs, despite his initial struggles team-communication wise.

One of his two career highlights consists in Counter Logic Gaming selecting him to replace Krepo during MLG Dallas 2012. CLG.eu selected him based on a recommendation from one of his Team Derpers teammates, and he went on to earn the MLG "Breakout Player" award.

The other career highlight was the most important for him, as it consisted of Team Alternate's qualification to the Season 3 LCS Summer Split. On their way to the LCS, they faced one of the teams that denied them the road to the LCS earlier in the Spring Promotion Tournament, GIANTS! Gaming.

Trivia

  • His summoner name, Jree, was a game handle that followed him since his early gaming moments.
  • Climbed the Ranked solo-queue ladder with mid and support  Janna.
  • Calls  Zilean "Jesus" due to his revive ability, but does not play him competitively.
  • Earned MLG's "Breakout Player" award while subbing for CLG EU at the 2012 MLG Fall Championship
  • Caught the attention of CLG EU partly due to a funny Reddit post.
  • However, the real reason he went with CLG.eu was that one of his teammates at Team Derpers recommended him to Froggen.
  • His favorite meal is the macaroni and meatball stew. As for drinks, he likes Coca Cola.
  • His favourite sweet is "Polly", a sweet available in Sweden. He gets the candy from Amazon.de or from his trips to Sweden.
  • Likes eating Kentucky Fried Chicken even though it is not available in Sweden.
  • His favorite movie is Inception.
  • His role model is his father.
