Biography[]
Before his professional League of Legends career, Kevin "kev1n" Rubiszewski played Counter Strike: Source, at a competitive level. He was introduced to League of Legends by other members of his clan, and despite having no prior knowledge of the MOBA genre, went on to climb the solo queue ladder just months later.
Season 1[]
Due to his impressive play in solo queue, in February 2011, kev1n was offered a place as top laner at newly formed Team gamed!de along with CandyPanda and Nyph. His first major tournament came in the form of the Season 1 World Championship. The team ended up placing 6th after losing to Counter Logic Gaming in the 5th place match.
Pre-Season 2[]
Just 5 days after the end of the tournament, the roster of Team gamed!de disbanded, leaving kev1n team-less. This was until he was picked up by against All authority, who he had previously been beaten by at the World Championships. Kev1n was part of an entirely new roster, as aAa's old lineup left for Millenium. His time here was short-lived, with the roster disbanding soon after.
Season 2[]
After Wickd's departure, kev1n was signed by SK Gaming, and here played again with both CandyPanda and Nyph, along with ocelote. His first chance to impress with his new team came at IEM Kiev, where he competed against the likes of Moscow 5 and TSM. SK ended up coming in 4th overall after being beaten by Moscow 5 in the semi-finals.
Later on in the year came a period of role changes for kev1n. He initially switched roles with ocelote, making him the midlaner of the team. This change didn't last long, and soon saw the pair switch back to their original roles. Soon after, upon CandyPanda's departure, YoungBuck joined SK, pushing kev1n into the AD carry position. Again the switch was ineffective, resulting in YoungBuck leaving 2 weeks later and kev1n moving back to the top lane.
With kev1n back in his natural role, SK placed 3rd at ECC Poland with Araneae and YellOwStaR now on the team. Hitting a run of good form, SK now faced the challenge of performing at the Season 2 Regional Finals. The tournament was a success, with the team placing 2nd and qualifying for the Season 2 World Championship.
Unfortunately, the World Championship was not a success for kev1n and SK, with the team losing all 3 games.
Season 3[]
Despite qualifying for the Spring Split of the LCS, SK Gaming had a relatively poor start to Season 3, as the IEM World Championship saw kev1n and SK go out in the group stages along with Evil Geniuses and Fnatic.
Fortunately, after a shaky start, the team picked up its pace over the course of spring split, with the assistance of kev1n's impressive performances in the top lane on more than one occasion. SK finished 3rd, guaranteeing them a place in the Spring Playoffs. The playoffs were not a success, with SK finising 4th, without winning a single game, Gambit beating them 2-0 in the semifinals.
The exceedingly tight Summer Split was far less successful than the spring split. Despite only having 2 less wins than 2nd place Fnatic, SK came in 7th after losing to Team Alternate in a 6th place tiebreaker.
This marked at the end of kev1n's time at SK, as he left to join Ninjas in Pyjamas, but this did not last long; he left only two months later to join Team Alternate.
2014 Season[]
Along with his teammates, kev1n chose to leave the organization and join Millenium, retaining their spot for the upcoming Spring Split.
Soon after came kev1n's first major tournament win at IEM Sao Paulo, with Millenium not dropping a single game over the course of the tournament.
Millenium's first split with the their new roster was tough, seeing kev1n and his teammates finish last overall, despite his generally positive performances on a range of champions. This resulted in Millenium's participation in the Summer Promotion. Millenium beat Ninjas in Pyjamas 3-2 to secure their place in the Summer Split, with kev1n being the clear MVP over the series.
Millenium started the Summer Split particularly well, ending week one in 2nd place behind Alliance. The split was an improvement on spring, finishing 5th overall. kev1n continued to impress, consistently being one of the standout players on the team, along with midlaner Kerp. With this, Millenium qualified for the Summer Playoffs. For kev1n in particular, the playoffs were a huge disappointment, and Millenium came in 6th, not winning a single game.
2015 Season[]
Millenium's playoff woes meant that they had to fight for their LCS status in the Spring Promotion. A close fought match-up with Unicorns of Love ultimately saw kev1n and Millenium lose 2-3.
kev1n participated with Millenium in the Expansion Tournament. The team received a bye for Round 1, but were eliminated from the tournament in Round 2 after being beaten by GIANTS! Gaming.
Ahead of Week 5 of the Spring Split, kev1n joined Elements, replacing Wickd.[21] He played with the team for 2 weeks, and remained with Elements as a substitute after Wickd's return to the starting roster.
