Lyon Gaming is a professional League of Legends team located in Latin America. Lyon was born from the concern of not having a competitive team whose roster consists of members from more than one country.

History

Lyon was founded by Karzek, FraGio and Nikez in the early 2013 with the sole purpose of creating a highly competitive team for its region. Even though the squad did not make any early major appearance, they were considered to be one of the top contenders from Latin America since the start due to their player’s individual skill and achievements.

As of 2015, Lyon Gaming is considered the best team of Latin America North region and has one of the biggest fan bases of the scene. Their forthcoming 2016 LAN Opening Cup roster is considered among fans as a Latinamerican dream team.

After winning the 2016 LAN Opening Cup , Lyon qualified for 2016 International Wildcard Invitational , getting a 1-6 record, losing all games, except the game against Detonation Gaming , later, the Lyon Jungler, Thyak retired, and their mid laner, Uri left the team, they picked up Oddie and WhiteLotus for the 2016 LAN Closing Cup and getting a really strong and good looking team, with Seiya going to mid lane again, just like he did before Uri re-joined the team in late 2015
