Choi "Locodoco" Yoon-sub is a South Korean League of Legends player who is a coach for Team Liquid.
Biography[]
He is fluent in both Korean and English. Prior to joining MiG Frost, he was one of the original members of Team SoloMid. He learned English and played on the NA League of Legends server while attending art school in Texas.[1] On May 25, 2012, Locodoco and Maximum Impact Gaming went their separate ways.[2] Then, he joined StarTale in the next month. However, the team did not stand long and disbanded in August 2012.
On Oct 23, 2012, Locodoco joined Counter Logic Gaming Prime as the support player. [3] This however would not last long, as on Dec 5, 2012, Locodoco would leave the team to return home to Korea to continue his League of Legends career.[4] Before returning to Korea he resided at the Curse house for a short time to sub for Saintvicious. On February 18th, 2013, Locodoco returned to competitive play when it was announced he would try out for the AD carry position on Najin Shield. [5] On March 25th 2013, Locodoco offically joined Najin Shield. [6] On June 21, 2013, Locodoco's position was replaced by Zefa and he left NaJin White Shield in early September.[7] Locodoco was invited by Woong, his former teammate, to rebuild a new MiG team. Locodoco would be the AD Carry for the new team.[8] In September, it was announced that Locodoco would join Quantic Gaming as the AD Carry and captain of their new roster as well as again returning to the North American competitive League of Legends scene. After problems arose that lead to them being eliminated from the LCS every member of Quantic flew back to Korea due to issues with their visas and Locodoco released a video announcing his retirement due to the fact he has lost the "fire" he once had for the game and was pressured by his parents to go to college instead of pursue a professional career in the game. His twitter confirms he's applying for college and doesn't plan on returning to league or to Quantic though no official announcement has been made to whether Quantic has split or is searching for a new ADC. If Quantic does decide to participate in the Coke Zero league, or tries to qualify for the Season 4 Summer Split it's a certainty Locodoco will not be among them. On December 30th Locodoco released a vlog in better spirits officially stating he will no longer pursue a career in professional gaming and has quit Quantic saying his passion for professional gaming is gone.
2014 Season[]
Locodoco joined Team SoloMid as their new head coach in June 2014, prior to the fourth week of the NA LCS Summer Split. At the time, TSM were tied for fourth place in the split with a 6-6 record. After bringing in former CJ Entus Blaze support Lustboy to replace Gleeb, they ended up finishing the split with a 16-12 record, in third place, and then won the season in playoffs. At Worlds, TSM advanced from their group but then lost to Samsung White in playoffs.
2015 Season[]
Locodoco continued coaching TSM, and after a disappointing performance at IEM San Jose, the team won IEM Katowice and had a strong spring LCS split, at least tied for first place every week after the first. Locodoco himself won the coach of the split award for the NA LCS.[9]
2016 Preseason[]
In November 2015, Locodoco left TSM and left his role as coach to join Team Liquid as a content producer.[10] At the end of December, he switched roles in the organization and became head coach.[11]
