Biography
Raised in Calgary, Canada, Ainslie grew up playing video games on consoles, often playing games handed down from his siblings. As he got older, he wished to possibly pursue a career in video game development, finishing a college degree in IT/software development. Ainslie had been an avid player of Dota before playing League of Legends, picking it up mid 2012. Transferring his MOBA skills from Dota to LoL, he found himself enjoying the AD carry role, becoming known for maining Draven, shooting up to 2560 elo in Season 2.

After brief stints playing with a few teams, Ainslie was picked up for the AD carry role for rising amateur team Dirt Nap Gaming in January 2013. While playing with the organization, him and the team made strong showings at tournaments such as Rising Stars Invitational and CLG Premier Series. However, in early March, frommaplestreet and his teammates left the organization and was acquired by newly formed Velocity eSports. Their first tournament appearance was in the 2013 MLG Winter Championship Summer Promotion, placing 2nd. Ainslie's new team then qualified for the Season 3 LCS Summer Promotion, eventually winning a slot, knocking out Team MRN.

It is Ainslie's goal to gain experience in the professional scene to play and compete at the international level. He is also the brother of Team Solomid's former jungler, and current coach/analyst TheOddOne.

He also holds the title of "American Badass," after playing TheOddOne in a game of mini-golf.

On September 4th 2013, upon the departure of their midlaner at the time ecco, Maple decided to move to the mid lane to demonstrate his strong mechanics and allow Slackoh to join the team as AD carry. However, the following month it was decided that Maple and Slackoh would switch positions, moving Maple back to AD carry. Slackoh was then replaced by Fragnat1c in the mid lane.

As of November 11th 2013, Maple stepped down from the starting roster of Velocity eSports, moving to a sub position and leaving the AD carry spot open.

On February 17th, he and CaliforniaTrlolz joined Team 8.

With Team 8, maplestreet played in and won multiple Challenger events during Season 4, including the Black Monster Cup once, the Lone Star Clash 3, and then the Black Monster Cup a second time. The team's success in Riot-sponsored events was less impressive, but they eventually managed to qualify for the Spring 2015 LCS.

2015 Preseason
maplestreet and Dodo8 substituted for Lyon Gaming at IEM San Jose, replacing NerzhuL and Arce, respectively. They were eliminated in the quarterfinals, losing 0-2 to Unicorns of Love and tied for fifth place with paiN Gaming.

2015 Season
Team 8 placed 7th in the spring season with a 9-9 record; while they did not qualify for playoffs, their placement did guarantee them seeding into the summer split. However, after Team Fusion failed to qualify for the summer split and disbanded, Nien joined Team 8, replacing maplestreet after week 1. maplestreet substituted for Misfits in the NACS Summer Qualifier for the last of their three series, helping them qualify for the summer season.

After Misfits renamed to Renegades, Maplestreet continued to substitute for them and played in all but four of their regular season games. They finished the round robin with an 8-2 record and in second place, after losing a tiebreaker to Team Coast. However, in the playoffs, in which Maplestreet played in all of their games, they defeated Imagine 2-1 and then Coast 3-2. Maplestreet was additionally awarded the MVP title for the final series. This victory sent them directly to the 2016 NA LCS Spring Season, filling the spot left open by Team Dragon Knights's autorelegation.

2016 Preseason
