Overview[edit]
All-Star Barcelona 2016 is the fourth All-Star event featuring the best and most popular players in the world. Players from the World Championship regions (including an International Wildcard team determined at IWC All-Star) compete on two teams - Team Ice and Team Fire.
- Selection
- Format
- Six teams:
- One each for the major regions - North America, Europe, Korea, China and Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau.
- The winning team from International Wildcard All-Star
- Teams are assigned to Team Fire and Team Ice based on regional performance at the 2016 World Championships:
- All-Star format - teams are chosen by fan vote
- At most two players from the same team can be voted in
- Vote is not region-locked, so players and fans can vote on other major regions' All-Stars as well as their own. However, the home region's vote counts 80% for its All-Stars (for example, North Americans have 80% of the NA LCS All-Star vote.)
- Winning team determined by points. The winning team earns an IP boost for all players in the regions they represent.
- Regional Matches
- Each Team Fire region plays each Team Ice region (100 points per win)
- Mixed Matches
- teams from each side will separate into 3 teams and play each other in a best-of-3 finals (100 points for winning a mixed game)
- Fun Matches
- 5v5 matches (point value)
- Marksman Mode (50) - a blind pick match where players can only play Marksmen and purchase boots, AP/AD items and their components, and potions.
- Assassin Mode (50) - A blind pick match where players can only play Assassins and purchase boots, AP/AD items and their components, and potions.
- One For All (50) - Standard One For All special mode rules apply
- Legend of the Poro King (50) - Standard Legend of the Poro King special mode rules apply.
- Tandem Mode (Doubles) (50) - Two players will control each champion, with one controlling the keyboard and the other the mouse.
- 1v1 tournament matches
- Random drawing, but the first round will always match a Team Ice player against a Team Fire player
- Standard 1v1 rules - Played on Howling Abyss, winner is first to kill the opponent, destroy an opponent's tower, or record 100 CS
- Single match (Best of 1) through quarterfinals. Semifinals and Finals are Best of 3.
- 500 Points available: 250 for 1st place, 150 for 2nd place, and 50 each for 3rd/4th place
- 5v5 matches (point value)
- Patch Information: v6.23

Notes
- If more than two players from the same team win the vote for their respective position, the two top vote-winners from that team will be starters, while alternates will take the other position(s)
- Players are listed with the teams they officially represent in the vote
- Leaders are listed by results from their home region where applicable, which are the Riot results[1] with the exception of the LPL, where the Tencent results are used[2], and the LMS, where the Garena Taiwan results are used[3]. Results were finalized on November 8.
