Q: How did InnerFlame help you in your career?
InnerFlame is actually the guy that got me on my first Challenger team. Or, like, I was friends with the G2 members, but he was our manager. So he got me on the team and he helped me out. I think he's a really cool guy and, like, caring guy. So he was definitely a good--like an older brother to me at the time. So yeah, I like InnerFlame.
Q: How was the transition from Gamers2 to G2?
I don't know how was the transition itself--that you'd have to ask Carlos--but "Gamers2" just sounded so awful. That's what Carlos says. Like, what the fuck is Gamers2? So he just changed us to G2 Esports, which sounds, "oh, G2 Esports sounds cool," even though I don't know what the fuck is G2 Esports. But I think that G2 as an organization has grown so much. Like, they learn from their mistakes, they learn from other teams' mistakes so they don't have to make those mistakes, and they just care about their players and they have good business too. And I think G2 is just a really good rising org right now.
Q: Why do you think Jensen and Bjergsen are so good?
Because they aren't EU mid-laners. I think if they were in EU, they would not be that good. That's my "shots fired."
Q: What do you need to do to become the best mid-laner?
I think, for me to be the best mid-laner, I think Faker would have to break his hand. And then I would still have to work hard, and I could be the best mid-laner.
So you're number two?
No, no, I didn't say that. Don't quote me on that, before Reddit eats me alive. I think I have to work on my patience, still. Trying to play more patient and controlled. I'm working hard and it's working. So I have to just find the balance between playing really aggressive and really controlled when I have to. That's something I have to work on. Because right now, I'm feeling really good at every aspect.
Q: Why are you and Trick the best mid/jungle duo?
I think the reason why we are the best mid/jungle duo--not in the world, before I get eaten alive again--is because we just work very well together. Like, I work well towards him and he works well towards me. Like, it's mostly like, us in G2, we play around our jungler. So whenever our jungler is around mid, I will play aggro and I will win my lane, and if he's not around mid, I will just play safe and farm up and let the other mid-laner have priority. And we are just good players who play good with pressure. So yeah, I think that's why we work very well together.
