Tournaments start this Saturday across the world.
Microsoft Stores around the world will soon be hosts to weekly League of Legends tournaments.
Each Saturday, starting this week on Aug. 26, players can register as individuals or teams to compete in community tournaments hosted by Microsoft, ASUS Republic of Gamers, and HyperX. They’ll take place in Microsoft Store locations across the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and Australia.
Participants will get to play on some premium equipment, including ROG G752VS gaming laptops and HyperX Cloud II headsets. They’ll also be playing League Unlocked, a special mode with all champions, over 100 available skins, as well as 20% IP and 50% XP boosts.
Microsoft’s announcement also promises the chance of prizes like icons, RP, the Triumphant Ryze skin, and of course, "swag."
You can search for participating stores and register for upcoming tournaments over here, and if you’re in the Los Angeles area, the Westfield Century City Microsoft Store is hosting a kickoff event this Saturday. There, you can expect to see Echo Fox players Froggen and Brandini, Twitch streamer Pokimane, photo opportunities, and giveaways.
