About North American Challenger League

“The North American Challenger League aims to raise the level of competition in the challenger scene, and through that, better competitive North American League of Legends as a whole.” - Zachary Kay, Commissioner - NACL

The North American Challenger League is modeled after traditional sports leagues like the NBA or NFL. NACL is owned by the teams participating in the league, as well as private investors. The league is run by a set of committees which are made up of one member from each of the competing teams. There is also a Commissioner who is responsible for making sure the league runs as intended. The Commissioner sits on all committees, but does not get a vote except in cases of a tie.

There will be a qualifier for the 10th spot in the league, from Thursday October 3 to Sunday October 6. The Qualifier will be open to all active challenger ranked 5s teams as of 6PM PT on Wednesday October 2nd. Teams can sign up for the qualifier here.
