Lyonel "Arcsecond" Pfaender is a League of Legends esports player who was previously the mid laner for Team Liquid Academy.
Lyonel "Arcsecond" Pfaender qualified for the NA Spring Expansion Tournament with Monstar Kittenz. They lost to compLexity.White 1-2 in the first round of the tournament. After the Expansion Tournament, Arcsecond left the team. He later joined Team Confound, a team formed to play in the NACS Spring Qualifier.
Under the ranked ladder team 321321321, Team Confound reached the qualifier with the 5th-place seed and defeated AffNity in the first round before losing to Cloud9 Tempest in the second round. However, after Cloud9 Tempest were found guilty of using a ringer in their matches, Team Confound were given the spot in the NACS Spring Season. After this ruling was announced, the team was acquired by Team SoloMid to form TSM Darkness. TSM Darkness finished in fifth place in the NACS spring season after beating CLG Black in a tiebreaker game. Arcsecond was seen as the stand-out player on his team, ending the season with a 5.68 KDA despite the team's overall 3-8 win record (including the tiebreaker).
After TSM dropped sponsorship of the team due to t3azer's having leaked scrim results to Team Fusion, the team renamed to Elomingle. They retained their seeding into the NACS summer season qualifier. However, prior to the qualifier Arcsecond left the team to join Winterfox, who were already pre-qualified for the summer season itself. Winterfox finished the season with a 1-9 record and in last place.
Arcsecond joined Zenith eSports for the HTC Ascension tournament in November 2015. They made it out of the group stage but then lost in the quarterfinals to Also Known As, and the next day, the roster disbanded. After leaving Zenith, he joined Astral Authority along with Zenith teammate Mysterious, but did not start in any games for them. He left the team soon after they renamed to Samadder Gaming in January 2016.
After playing with NA Players (later Arsenal) in the NACS Summer Open Qualifier and Main Qualifier but failing to make the NACS, Arcsecond joined Team Liquid as a substitute mid laner in July 2016, shortly before the NA LCS roster lock. He did not start in any games in the regular season or the playoffs, but on August 30 Team Liquid announced that he would be replacing Dardoch in the jungle for the Regional Finals Gauntlet. Liquid lost their first series 3-0 to Team EnVyUs.
