Astralis is a Danish team.
History[]
Astralis was the first Danish player-owned organization founded in 2016 as a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team by the former all-Danish roster of Team SoloMid. After winning four CS:GO majors, the organization was rumored to be joining the EU LCS as part of the 2019 European franchise program.[1] It was later reported that Astralis' parent company RFRSH Entertainment had acquired Origen and would use their name and brand for their EU LCS entry.[2]
On August 9, 2019, Astralis and Origen had been moving over to Astralis Group, which had split from RFRSH Entertainment.[3][4][5]
On September 15, 2020, it was announced that the Astralis Group would merge all activities and teams into the Astralis brand, including the League of Legends team Origen.[6][7]
On October 18, 2023, it was announced that the Astralis LEC slot would be sold to Karmine Corp.[8]
