The 2020 Belgian League ("BL") is the first year of Belgium's fully professional League of Legends European Regional League (ERL) under partnership with the Belgian agency META. It is one of the successors of the Benelux Premier League and the sister league of the Dutch League. In the spring playoffs, four teams compete in a King of the Hill bracket.

Overview[edit]

Format[edit]

  • Top four teams from Spring Split participate
  • Finals are best of five, all other matches are best of three
  • Round 1 - 1st and 2nd seed face each other in the "Juggernaut" match, 3rd and 4th seed also face each other.
  • Round 2 - "Juggernaut" match loser faces the other Round 1 match winner
  • Finals - Winners from the "Juggernaut" and Round 2 matches face each other
  • Winner qualifies for the European Masters 2020 Spring

Note: The Round 1 match between Sector One and Timeout Esports, originally scheduled for March 16, was first delayed to March 18 due to connection issues,[1]but due to later developments related to the 2019–20 Coronavirus Pandemic, the matches had their broadcast delayed to March 23 while the Round 2 match scheduled for March 23 was delayed to March 25 and the Finals match originally scheduled for March 25 was delayed to March 30.[2][3]
