Brandon "Brandini" Chen is the top laner for TSM Academy. He was previously known as BrandonFTW.
Brandon "Brandini" Chen started playing League of Legends in season 2, and eventually he enjoyed playing top lane the most.
In January 2015, BrandonFtw joined BrawL.NA as part of their initial starting roster, along with ShorterACE, Alex Ich, LattmaN, and LohPally. However, without Alex Ich playing for them yet, BrawL lost to Darkness in the first round of the NACS 2015 Spring Qualifier and were eliminated from the tournament.
In March 2015, Frank Fang Gaming was reformed, with a roster including LattmaN, BonQuish, Moon, BrandownFtw, and goldenglue. They placed second in the AlphaDraft Challenger League, behind Misfits and ahead of Cloud9 Tempest. However, in the NACS Summer Qualifier, Frank Fang Gaming lost to Cloud9 Tempest in the first round of their bracket and were eliminated. Three days after their defeat, the team disbanded. In December, BrandonFtw renamed to Brandini.
After being a substitute for Apex Gaming for the first half of the year, Brandini joined Phoenix1, the organization that purchased Team Impulse's NA LCS Summer Season seed, in May. Brandini shared the starting top lane slot with zig, and only competed in 7 of Phoenix1's 46 regular season games. Phoenix1 finished the split in 8th place after a second-half comeback to drag them out of last, but still had to play in spring relegations; Brandini didn't start in any of their three Promotion Tournament games, but the team won 3-0 over Echo Fox.
