Biography[edit]
fabbbyyy gained notoriety in the high elo brackets of Season 3 with his high risk/high reward playstyle of playing extremely aggressive on whatever champion he is using. He became well known in the NA community when he was consistently seen in the games of popular players while they stream. Due to his over the top aggression, he was observed as one to either greatly carry his team in games or be a huge hindrance during them. He was given the nickname, "The Gatekeeper" by players because he was often matched up with others in their promotion series to ascend to Challenger rank, where it would depend on him performing great or poorly to decide if they would move on or fail the series, hence him being the key to the Challenger "gates". In July 2013, it was announced formidable Challenger team, Curse Academy, sibling team for Team Curse would change their roster and recruited fabbbyyy to be their AD.[11] On the 20th and 21st of August Fabbbyyy competed in the the ebay 1v1 tournament representing Greenpeace and ended up beating Chaox in the semifinals, then beating Westrice in the finals winning the prize money of $5000 for Greenpeace.
2016 Season[edit]
TLA played in the 2016 NA CS Spring Qualifier where they 3-0'd Team Frostbite to qualify for the 2016 NACS Spring Season. Following an announcement that all members of the Academy team would also be active substitutes of the main Team Liquid roster, the organization swapped Dardoch and Matt off the Academy team for the NACS season. They finished in fourth place, narrowly making the playoffs after winning an automatic tiebreaker against Dream Team but then lost to Apex Gaming 3-1.
After the split ended, Team Liquid Academy rebuilt their roster, with Solo, Moon, Goldenglue, and Stunt joining; Fabbbyyy was the only player to remain on the roster. After the second week of the LCS Summer Season, Fabbbyyy was traded to the main Team Liquid team, replacing Piglet. Liquid finished the split in fifth place with a 9-9 series record. In the Playoffs, they shook up their roster once again, substituting in Jynthe for their third game against CLG after two losses. Jynthe ended up finishing out the season in place of Fabbbyyy, and Team Liquid ultimately lost the series to CLG and then their first Regional Finals series to Team EnVyUs.
