Biography[]
Season 3[]
Kim "Nagne" Sang-moon joined NaJin Black Sword as a sub in June 2013. His first professional games took place at the Season 3 World Championship where he played all 8 of Sword's games instead of mid laner SSONG. Nagne's play surprised many and Sword ended up losing 3-2 in a close set to eventual champions SK Telecom T1.
2014 Season[]
Nagne's inaugural games in OGN were at PANDORA.TV Champions Winter 2013-2014 against Incredible Miracle 2 but he only played two games and Sword were knocked out in the group stage after a mediocre showing. He then played in all six games in the group stages at HOT6iX Champions Spring 2014 but once again Sword was knocked out early. Nagne left the team between seasons and joined the KT Rolster Bullets. He participated in HOT6iX Champions Summer 2014 with his new team but they failed to make the quarterfinals. The KT Bullets gained enough circuit points to go to the 2014 Season Korea Regional Finals but were swept in the first round by NaJin White Shield.
2015 Season[]
Once the OGN rules were changed, the Bullets merged with their sister team, the Arrows, to create KT Rolster. With Rookie's departure from the organization, Nagne filled in the starting mid lane role. KT participated in SBENU Champions Spring 2015 and placed fifth, narrowly missing playoffs. Edge was called up to the starting roster prior to the start of SBENU Champions Summer 2015 to share the starting mid lane position with Nagne. KT placed second overall during the regular season of Champions Summer. They made it to the finals of the playoffs but lost 3-0 to SK Telecom T1. KT earned enough circuit points to qualify for the 2015 Season Korea Regional Finals where they beat the Jin Air Green Wings 3-1 in the finals to qualify for the 2015 Season World Championship. KT was drawn into a group with LGD Gaming, Team SoloMid, and Origen. They ended with a 5-1 record and went on to play the KOO Tigers in the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, they lost 3-1 and were knocked out of the tournament.
2016 Preseason[]
KT played in the 2015 LoL KeSPA Cup where they lost 2-1 in the semifinals to CJ Entus. Nagne left KT on December 1.
2016 Season[]
Nagne joined the Chinese team Wan Yoo in May 2016. Before the LSPL 2016 Summer Season began, the team acquired the LSPL slot and roster of MF Gaming and rebranded to WYDream. Nagne and jungler KaKAO were the only Wan Yoo players to join the new team. WYDream struggled to begin the split and sat at 5-10 at the end of Week 6, but improved enough to go 7-4 the rest of the way, eventually finishing tenth. They still had to play in relegations, but with favorable seeding due to their regular-season finish, easily swept Revenger to requalify for the LSPL. In December, DS Gaming acquired the team, and Nagne left.
2017 Season[]
Nagne's next competitive experience came in May 2017, when he joined European team Ninjas in Pajamas, who had returned to the EU LCS by acquiring Fnatic Academy's EU LCS 2017 Summer seed. Ninjas in Pyjamas were selected to be in Group A alongside Fnatic, G2 Esports, Misfits Gaming and Team ROCCAT. Nagne and NiP's season got off to a terrible start, as they failed to win a single game in the best-of-three EU LCS until Week 5 when they managed to take a single game off of Unicorns of Love. They finally won a series in Week 8 against Team ROCCAT and upset top-seeded Fnatic in Week 10, but the team was already far out of contention and finished last, sending them to the Promotion Tournament. NiP lost their first series against Giants Gaming 1-3 and moved on to the lower bracket, where they swept fellow LCS squad Mysterious Monkeys 3-0. After they were destroyed 3-0 the deciding match against FC Schalke 04 Esports, Ninjas in Pajamas were relegated from EU LCS. They released all of their players in October.
2019 Season[]
Nagne didn't play at all in 2018 before being picked up by Turkish team Beşiktaş Esports for the TCL 2019 Winter Season. However, after a 2-0 start, Beşiktaş were never more than a .500 team for the rest of the split. With the team sitting at 7-9 after Week 8 but still in contention for one of the final playoff spots, Nagne was benched in favor of academy player Umut and didn't appear for the team again as they missed playoffs. He left the team in March and eventually returned to Korea to serve his mandatory military service.
