IEM Season IX - Cologne is the fourth event of IEM Season IX (third with LoL involved), organized by ESL. It took place in Cologne, Germany.

Overview

The event will be cast by Brandon "Saintvicious" DiMarco, Leigh "Deman" Smith, Joe Miller, Martin "Deficio" Lynge, Mitch "Krepo" Voorspoels, and Marcel "Dexter" Feldkamp. Eefje "sjokz" Deporteere will be the host.[1]

Format

  • Six teams:
    • 2 EU LCS Teams (1 fanvote & 1 invited)
    • 2 NA LCS Teams (2 fanvote)
      • Teams competing at IEM San Jose are excluded from participating
    • 1 CIS team from qualifier
    • 1 Turkish team from qualifier
