JD Gaming is a Chinese esports organization.
History
JD Gaming formed in May of 2017 when they acquired the roster and LPL spot of QG Reapers. The team's first showing was at the 2017 Demacia Cup but it wasn't particularly good as they placed 9th-12th after an 0-2 loss to LGD Gaming. In the 2017 LPL Summer Season JD Gaming finished 5th in Group B with 6 wins and 11 losses which eliminated them from playoff contention. They also placed 2nd at the National Electronic Sports Tournament 2017.
Timeline
- March 5, RD moves to starter while Loken moves to sub.
- April 1, RD moves to sub again while Loken moves back to starter.
- May 23, Homme joins as head coach.[1]
- May 24, RD moves to support.[2]
- June 17, UDJ joins LGD Gaming on loan as a coach for three months.[3]
- September 2, UDJ returns to active roster.
- May 20, roster and LPL slot of QG Reapers is acquired. Kabe, Clid, xinyi, doinb, LokeN, xiaoali (now Barrett), LvMao, and Cloud join. BanBazi and Cammly join as coaches. UDJ joins as an analyst. Momo and Soso join as manager and translator respectively. LSPL slot of Now or Never is acquired to form Joy Dream.[4]
- December 13, Kabe and Xinyi leave.[5]
- December 19, YaGao joins.[6]
- December 20, xiaohan and RD join.[7] Cloud leaves.[8]
- December 21, Zoom joins. UDJ moves to coach. Vu5So joins as an analyst. Aixiao joins as manager. doinb and Barrett leave.[9] BanBazi and Cammly leave coaching roles. Momo leaves managerial role.[10]
- December (approx.), Soso leaves managerial role.
