Biography[edit]
2017 Season[edit]
After playing for several North American amateur teams, Joey joined CLG for the 2017 season as substitute support. He unexpectedly made his LCS debut in week 9 of the NA LCS 2017 Spring against Immortals, when Stixxay became ill and starting support Aphromoo had to switch to bot lane to replace him. CLG lost both games and the series, and Stixxay returned the next day for the final game of the split. Joey wasn't called upon again by CLG and left the team just before the end of the summer split.
2018 Season[edit]
For 2018, Joey joined Team Liquid Academy to play in the newly formed NA Academy League. With a roster of V1per, Hard, Mickey and Shoryu, TLA was one of the best academy teams throughout the Academy Spring Season. They eventually finished with a 13-5 record and won a tiebreaker over Cloud9 Academy for first place. However, in the playoffs, they were upset 3-1 by Echo Fox Academy and failed to make the finals.
Team Liquid qualified for the 2018 Mid-Season Invitational, and Joey traveled with the team as their substitute for the event. Joey was surprisingly subbed in to replace starting support Olleh in Team Liquid's 3rd 2018 group stage match versus Flash Wolves after the team had lost the first two and Olleh had publicly expressed a lack of confidence in his own play. After Liquid lost that game as well, Olleh returned to the starting position and played all the remaining games in the tournament.
Going into the Summer Season, mid laner Mickey was replaced by Insanity, but the team's performance barely faltered, and they finished 12-6 and in second place. This gave them a bye to the semifinals, but they were again upset, this time 3-2 by CLG Academy, and again missed the finals. Joey left the team in September.
2019 Season[edit]
After a brief stint with amateur team Supernova, Joey joined Clutch Gaming Academy for the summer academy split. The team won both of their Week 1 and Week 6 matches, but only won two other matches over the course of the split, finishing tied for ninth place with a 6-12 record. Joey left Clutch in November after the team had rebranded to Dignitas.
