The LEC 2020 Season awards Championship Points towards seeding for the LEC 2020 Summer Playoffs, at which teams will qualify for the World Championship.

Format[edit]

  • Unlike previous seasons, all of Europe's Worlds participants will qualify via the LEC Summer Playoffs, with Championship Points being used to seed teams going into this event.
  • Championship Points will be granted for performance in the LEC Spring Playoffs and the LEC Summer regular season.
  • Regional Finals will therefore no longer take place.

Championship Points Tiebreaker[edit]

In the event that multiple teams are tied in the standings at the conclusion of the Summer Split, then the team that gained the most points in the Summer Split will be considered the holder of the tiebreaker. If both teams are tied in the Summer Split regular season, then head to head will be used to determine the tiebreaker. Summer Split regular season head to head will include any tiebreaker games needed to determine position.
