Format[edit]
- As the LLA 2021 Opening Promotion was cancelled, Furious Gaming and Pixel Esports Club, the bottom 2 teams from the 2020 Season, must compete in the LLA 2022 Opening Promotion.
- On November 29, 2020, Riot Games announced the acquisition of Pixel Esports Club's spot by Estral Esports for the LLA 2021 Season, adding that Estral Esports won't have to play the 2022 Promotion Tournament due to the circumstances.[1][2]
- The bottom 2 teams which got the lowest accumulated points between Opening Season and Closing Season will also drop down to the LLA 2022 Opening Promotion, in case Furious Gaming doesn't finish at 7th or 8th place in the 2021 Season.
- As a result, the LLA 2022 Opening Promotion will have 2 or 3 teams coming from the LLA.
Performance Points Tiebreaker[edit]
In the event that multiple teams finish on the same amount of Performance Points, the team with the better head to head record across both seasons wins the tiebreaker. In case this does not resolve the tie, the team with the faster average win time of the games between the tied teams wins the tiebreaker.
