The MOBAFire Challenger Series (MCS) was created to provide an arena for pro-am, or sub LCS, teams to compete for prizes and earn experience playing against other highly skilled teams to help prepare for competing in the LCS. Teams qualify or are invited to play in each season of the MCS. 4 seasons are played each year with playoffs for each season. The top 8 teams keep their spot for the following season unless they withdraw voluntarily.
The MCS was started as a collaborative effort between industry veterans including Team Tempest and MOBAFire. Team Tempest management brings years of experience in competitive League of Legends and professional production staff while MOBAFire provides technical expertise, sponsors and a massive audience of League of Legends fans.
