Patch Notes May 29, 2009 Patch

New Features

  • Normal games with matchmaking are now available
  • New loading screen - now shows each player's champion and summoner selections with their loading bars

Champion Changes

AlistarSquare.png Alistar

  • Unbreakable Will REMAKE
    • New functionality: Alistar Gains 60 damage, and takes x% reduced physical and magical damage for the duration

EvelynnSquare.png Evelynn

  • Hate Spike ability power ratio increased from 0.25 to 0.33

FiddlesticksSquare.png Fiddlesticks

  • Terrify cooldown increased from 12 to 15

Master YiSquare.png Master Yi REMAKE

  • Alpha Strike
    • No longer ultimate
    • New functionality: Master Yi slashes across the battlefield; this deals damage and has a chance to slay minions instantly
  • Meditate
    • Reduced cooldown from 60 to 45
    • Reduced mana cost from 100 / 120 / 140 / 160 / 180 to 80 / 100 / 120 / 140 / 160
    • Reduced health from 150 / 250 / 600 / 900 / 1250 to 150 / 300 / 500 / 750 / 1100
  • Wuju Style
    • New functionality: Passively increases Master Yi's physical damage. Master Yi can activate this ability to triple its effectiveness, at the cost of the passive bonus it yields for a period of time.
  • Highlander
    • New ultimate
    • New functionality: Increases Master Yi's movement and attack speeds and he becomes immune to all slowing effects temporarily. Additionally, killing a champion refreshes all of Master Yi's cooldowns.

MorganaSquare.png Morgana

  • Dark Binding projectile speed increased from 1000 to 1200

Nunu & WillumpSquare.png Nunu

  • Absolute Zero
    • Now detonates for a fraction of the damage based on how long Nunu is channeling
    • You are now able to cancel Absolute Zero
    • Reduced damage from 500 / 800 / 1200 to 500 / 750 / 1000

SingedSquare.png Singed

  • Poison Trail area of effect increased from 150 to 180

SorakaSquare.png Soraka

  • Starcall cooldown increased from 3 to 4

TristanaSquare.png Tristana

  • Detonating Shot damage increased from 40 / 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 to 50 / 100 / 150 / 200 / 250

TryndamereSquare.png Tryndamere

  • Slash cast range reduced from 1,150 to 1,000
  • Battle Fury (Passive) max crit damage bonus reduced from 70% to 50%
  • Mocking Shout cooldown increased from 12 to 14

Twisted FateSquare.png Twisted Fate

  • Destiny
    • Reduced duration from 6 / 8 / 10 to 5 / 7 / 9
    • Increased the slow percent from 40% to 45%
  • Gate now teleports the user after 1.5 seconds instead of near instantly

TwitchSquare.png Twitch

  • Spray and Pray projectile speed increased from 1,200 to 1,400

WarwickSquare.png Warwick

  • Hungering Strike REMAKE
    • Changed functionality to deal the greater between 75 / 125 / 175 / 225 / 275 or 15% of the target's health
    • Can no longer hit monsters and minions
  • Eternal Thirst
    • Reduced max stacks from 8 to 5
    • Increased lifesteal per stack from 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 to 6 / 9 / 12 / 15

Items

  • Innervating Locket functionality changed to leave a buff to increase health and mana over the course of 2 seconds (to lower the strength of multiple units with lockets)
  • Mejai's Soulstealer max ability power gained reduced from 120 to 80
  • Lich Bane's effect now no longer stacks with Sheen's effect
  • Renewal Tunic removed
  • Regrowth Pendant health regeneration reduced from 18 per 5 to 16 per 5
  • Warden's Mail increased the proc's movement and attack speed slows from 40% to 50%
  • Oracle's Elixir magical sight range increased from 450 to 500
  • Vision Ward - After two seconds, the vision ward becomes invisible to opponents

Summoners

  • Experience table: Fixed a bug that caused your summoner to require too much experience
  • Revive cooldown increased from 5 minutes to 7
  • Perseverance Talent health and mana regeneration reduced from 5 / 10 / 15% to 4 / 8 / 12%
  • Promoted Minion damage increased from 50 to 64 (still has 80% to cleave)

HUD

  • New art and some changes to the general layout
  • Can now disable the automatic HUD popup of enemy champions during combat by going to options screen-> more options-> interface-> auto-target enemies
  • Massive framerate improvement for scoreboard
  • New features added to HUD: death timer, level, items with tooltips, indicator when enemies are in fog of war
  • Scoreboard can be activated by holding down tab

General

  • Baron NashorSquare.png Baron Nashor knockback ability reduced from 750 ranged to 600 range
  • Tooltip fixed for ZileanSquare.png Zilean, Time Bomb, Righteous Fury, Boost, and Outer Turrets
  • Outer Turrets health reduced from 2800 to 2600
  • Reduced each champion's natural health regeneration by 10%
  • Inhibitor Bonuses
    • Bonus Melee Minion damage increased form 8 to 10
    • Bonus Caster Minion damage increased from 15 to 18
    • Bonus Siege Minion damage increased from 20 to 25
    • Inhibitor Respawn time increased from 5 minutes to 6
  • Added a new passive to Mech Minions: Turret Shield: Reduces damage taken by Turrets by 50%
  • Basic attack system has been redone
  • Fixed a bug with animations not transitioning correctly. Example: Tryndamere's slash animation would continue after the slash was completed having him spin around
  • You will no longer auto attack Monsters in the Woods even if your champion is in range until after you initiate an initial attack
  • Fixed a bug where you would occasionally get double gold and experience from a kill when an item proc occurred on the last hit
  • Fixed some of the bugs involved with mouse click inputs being lost
  • Fixed a bug where Monsters int he Woods did not fully leash properly but would meander before going back to their camp
