Red Bull Factions 2017 is the second edition of Red Bull Factions, an Italian LoL Tournament created by Red Bull.

Format

  • 8 teams participate
    • 4 from qualifers
    • 4 invited teams
  • Doble round robin + single elimination bracket
    • Doble round robin
      • 6 top teams advance to playoffs
      • Top 2 teams of round robin earn a bye to semifinals
    • Single elimination bracket
      • Matches are best of three
      • Finals are best of five
  • Pick and ban phase:
    • Round Robin
    • Playoffs
      • Each team bans 2 factions, instead of standard champions bans. Other 2 factions are banned from live audience and twitch audience. Runeterra can't be banned.
      • Each team chooses an unbanned faction:
        • A team can't choose rival team faction.
        • Team can't choose the same faction with which they won a match in the series.
      • Each team must pick at least 3 champions belonging to chosen faction. Other 2 picks must belong to Runeterra.
