Andre "Rich Homie Dre" Brandle is a League of Legends esports player, previously top laner for Rich Gang. He was previously known as Nex and Aviator.

Andre was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, where he still resides. He starting playing games around the age of 10, starting with Runescape. Before becoming a progamer, he was studying full time at Queensland University of Technology, majoring in international business and minoring in marketing. He started playing League of Legends in December of 2011 after seeing a friend play it, the same friend who also got him into Runscape. At first he didn't understand what a MOBA was as he never played DotA and struggled to play LoL. His first champion main was JaxSquare.png Jax, who remains his favorite.

League of Legends Career[edit]

Prior to going competitive, Andre played Top and Jungle but he believed his strength and potential lay in Top lane. He got involved in the competitive scene through his teammate, Profound, who convinced him to apply for Avant Garde. If competitive LoL doesn't pan out for him, he will apply for a full time job at an international firm after completing his degree.

Rich Gang[edit]

Rich Gang qualified for the 2015 OPL Split 1 with a first-place finish in their qualification group. However, over the course of early 2015, three members of the team, Paws, Dayshifted, and Rich Homie Dre, were banned from competing in the OPL for varying reasons, mostly relating to behavioral issues. On March 20, Riot Oceania announced that the entire team was to be removed from competitive play, due to having "shown a lack of institutional governance over their players represented by the three separate player suspensions."[1] At the time of their suspension, the team was in 6th place with a 3-7 record, ahead of Team 4Not OCE and behind Avant Garde.

Rich Gang had to forfeit the remainder of their games in the OPL, and their spot in the next split would be automatically filled by the best challenger team. Players who did not receive suspensions were allowed to join other teams and continue playing League of Legends professionally. The organization Rich Gang is no longer be allowed to own a competitive league of legends team.

  • His current handle, Nex, is named after the strongest boss in Runescape at level 1001. She was so well designed that it left a strong impression on him.
  • He enjoyed challenging noobs in Runescape to a 1v1 at Edgeville.
