Documentation

This template is meant to be used in the "Tabs" namespace, see: Tournament Tabs.

Arguments

TL;DR

Specify lists of links for each event, and for each subpage if needed. You can also specify lists of names or individual names.

See the example for syntax, or read the detailed explanation below.

Canonical page names CANNOT contain /s. If you must have a "titlepart" with a / in it, please use |titlefind= and |titlereplace= and use a stand-in canonical name.

Navboxes

  • |navbox=, a comma-separated list of values.
  • |navboxi_events= if specified, the navbox will ONLY display on the events you list here. Navboxes are numbered as ordered above.
  • |navboxi_keys= if specified, these are the keys for arguments to send to the navbox template. This will rarely be specified, but if it is, probably it will just be "state". Can be a comma-separated list.
  • |navboxi_values= the values for the argument keys provided in |navboxi_keys=. Must be the same length as |navbox_keys=.

Events

This is for displaying top-level phases (events) of the season in question.

  • |events= Specify top-level events, "Spring Season," "Spring Playoffs," etc. Comma-separated list. These refer to parts of the links of the pages. "Overview" will autocorrect to an empty URL extension.
  • |events_names= Specify a complete comma-separated list of display names.
  • |events_names_event= Specify the display name for one single event. Using |events_names= will overwrite this.

Different Base URLs

See for example Tabs:CDLN 2018.

  • |titlefind= This should be a comma-separated list of 'canonical' page names that we don't want to use.
  • |titlereplace= This is a comma-separated list of actual page names that correspond to the canonical names (use the same order).

Subpages

This is for displaying second-level tabs (or first-level if the event is only a single phase, such as pre-Play-In World Championships).

  • |event=. For example, |Spring Season=Overview, Team Rosters, Picks and Bans, Scoreboards, Match Details, VODs, Match History, Champion Statistics, Player Statistics. This argument uses the lookup table provided by {{SubpageSettings}}m to get names from links; what you input here are the links. Again, Overview will autocorrect to empty string.
  • |event_names= Same as |events_names= but just for this one event.
  • |event_names_subpage= Same as |events_names_event=.

Sub-Subpages

For scoreboards, pick/bans, etc, where you have a third row of tabs. In this case, while the first parameter will autocorrect to 'Overview', the display of the tab will not autocorrect itself, though the link will. Basically, this means you can use it as you expect - tell it to show "Week 1" as the first tab, and specify nothing further for it to display Week 1 and add nothing to the URL.

  • |event/subpage= Again this will be a list of tabs to create.
  • |event/subpage_names= And again same.
  • |event/subpage_names_subsubpage= - Again same.

Other

  • |OldMD=Yes - set this if you want the Match Details tab to display "Match Details" instead of "Match Details & VODs."

Corresponding Page

Usually this will be very simple, but these parameters are extremely flexible for increased customizability.

If you want a corresponding page box - generally you will only specify one set of parameters here, but if you want to do something like "see corresponding NA-EU or LCK-LPL-LMS or .... page" for Rift Rivals

  • |showCorr= specify this to initiate the corresponding page box. Let it be passed an argument from the template call but you may give it a default value (see copyable code below). If you want |corr_titlematch= to overrule this, just write Yes. If you want a default value here specify a number. Standard practice should be to specify a number on a page to override titlematch, but Yes in the template. If you want to disable the box on a page, specify |showCorr= with no value (i.e. empty string).
  • |corr_find= what to find in the title.
  • |corr_replace= the text in the title that should replace the find text
  • |corr_display= the full text to display in the box
  • |corr_tournament= if you want the template to say 'View the corresponding X page', specify this to set X. note that |corrdisplay= will overwrite this.
  • |corr_titlematch= if there's more than one option for the box, each of these can be used as a title match. This does NOT support pattern matching currently but could if you need it to let River know.
  • |titlematch= This should just be directly passed an arg with default empty value.

Copyable code:

|showCorr={{{showCorr|1}}}|targetpage={{{targetpage|}}}|corr_find= |corr_replace= |corr_display=
|corr_titlematch=
|corr_tournament=

Each box is separated by commas. Within one box you may list multiple links by separating with semicolons. If you are making multiple boxes, all args must be specified for all boxes. If making multiple links within one box, you may specify one single value for find and multiple values for everything else. Only one box may be displayed per page. The template will pick one if multiple are valid.

Note that if you want to specify a replacement section of the title instead of a string, you can use {{#tileparts}} in the template as the |find=.
