Formed in February, Tundra Gaming was founded in order to participate in the Open Tour Benelux 2020 with an initial roster constituted of two experienced players, Hachi and Shõga, and with three less experienced players, Yami x9, Smiglo, and Rechter.
As the team entered the first step of the Open Tour, the team quickly proved their talent by beating Aethra Esports Gold and finishing first in their group, advancing to the bracket stage of the tournament. While expectations around them weren't very high at first, the team quickly bursted through their quarterfinals and semifinals game, beating the tournament favorite Team 7AM in a convincing fashion before finally being defeated in the finals by Absolute Legends Netherlands, ending their first run in second place.
