Jakob "YamatoCannon" Mebdi is a League of Legends esports player, previously coach for Team Vitality.
Biography[edit]
Jakob is from Västerås, Sweden. Before playing League of Legends he played high level World of Warcraft, Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2. In League of Legends, he has played on various teams as AP, Top, and AD. He is known as a very versatile player. He was the AD carry for Team Solo Mebdi. However, the team disbanded after three of its members were banned by Riot for exceptionally toxic behavior.[1]
2015 Season[edit]
On January 10, MeetYourMakers announced YamatoCannon as their new head coach for the 2015 EU LCS Spring Season.[2] After MYM was auto-relegated from the LCS, YamatoCannon joined the Russian team Glacial Phoenix as their head coach. He stated that while he eventually wanted to return to coaching an LCS team, he also didn't want to take any time off; he also stated he did not plan to ever return to competing as a player.[3]
On April 15, Team ROCCAT announced YamatoCannon as their new Head Coach.[4]
