Leigh "Deman" Smith is an eSports Gaming Commentator currently employed by ESL.

Biography[]

Initially a semi-professional Battlefield 1942 player he first found his love of casting games when he would spectate games that were already full and commentate on them. This led him into casting other games; his next major one being Supreme Commander. He casted the Super Commander final with long time friend and casting partner Joe Miller at the Multiplays I30 event. He was then picked up by QuadV; it was during his time as a caster for QuadV that in 2011 while at The Ultimate Gaming Championship in Italy he asked Joe Miller if he would help him get onto the roster for casting some League of Legends games.

After to rising to prominence in the League casting scene for his passionate and energetic performances he began casting some of the biggest League games. This finally culminated in him casting the Season 2 world finals along with Jatt. During the break in professional play between the World finals and the beginning of Season 3 he was formally offered a job at Riot as a full-time shoutcaster for the upcoming LCS.

On November 28, 2014, Deman announced his departure from Riot Games to join and work at ESL alongside with Joe Miller.[1] In October 2015, during the World Championships, the BBC announced that he would headline a BBC Three cast of the quarterfinals, which would take place at the SSE Arena at Wembley in London, alongside Stress.[2]
