Alexander "Jree" Bergström is a retired League of Legends esports player, previously support for Millenium.

Biography[]

Alexander "Jree" Bergström is a professional League of Legends player from Västerås, Sweden. His first contact with gaming was playing Unreal Tournament 1999 and NHL 99 on PC. He then transitioned to World of Warcraft, where he achieved Gladiator in 5v5s.

In November 2010, Jree's friends introduced him to League of Legends. He was thrilled by the differences MOBAs brought, as he could select different champions from one game to another. Due to his enjoyment, he stuck with the game, and his imminent JannaSquareJanna empowered ascension through the soloqueue ranks allowed him to land a place on a number of teams.

Season 2[]

Having short spells on a few minor teams, he competed in multiple Go4LoLs, despite his initial struggles team-communication wise. His most impressive feat during this phase was during his time with Swedish team Sju Sjösjuka Sjömän, along with jwaow and Kottenx, at DreamHack Winter 2012 where the team only exited in the semifinals after losing to eventual winners, xPeke's Fnatic.

In 2012, he landed a spot in the roster of Team Derpers, where he aimed to enhance his abilities by playing at the relatively high competitive level the team were playing at.

His big breakout in the competitive scene was an appearance for CLG.eu as a substitute, in place of Krepo, at MLG Dallas 2012. CLG.eu selected him based on a recommendation from one of his Team Derpers teammates, and he went on to earn the MLG "Breakout Player" award. Overall the tournament was a success, with Jree and CLG.eu placing 3rd behind only Azubu Blaze and NaJin Sword.

Just three weeks later, Jree was picked up by Team Alternate based on his performances for CLG.eu.

Season 3[]

The start of Season 3 was far from perfect for Jree and Team Alternate, with the team failing to qualify for the first LCS Spring Split. Fortunately, Jree's next career highlight came soon after with Team Alternate's qualification to the Season 3 LCS Summer Split via the Summer Promotion, beating GIANTS! Gaming, one of the teams that denied them the road to the LCS earlier in the Spring Promotion Tournament.

The Summer Split was extremely tight, though Team Alternate had a fantastic start, staying in 1st place from the very start until the 7th week, when they were overtaken by Lemondogs. At the end of the penultimate week, Jree and Team Alternate stood in seeming safe 2nd place. A disastrous super week at the end of the split saw Alternate lose all 5 games that they played. This pushed them down to joint 6th place with SK Gaming. This meant that they had to play a tie breaker, which they fortunately won. This sealed Team Alternate's place at the Summer Playoffs, condemning future teammate, kev1n, and SK Gaming to the 2014 Spring Promotion.

The playoffs were sadly not a success, with Alternate placing 5th after losing to Evil Geniuses in the quarterfinals.

2014 Season[]

With kev1n now on the team, the majority of Alternate's roster left the organization to join Millenium.

Jree's first major tournament win came soon after joining, at IEM Sao Paulo, with Millenium not dropping a single game over the course of the tournament.

Using Alternate's spot for the Spring Split, Millenium's first spell in the LCS was tough, seeing Jree and his teammates finish last overall. This result of this was Millenium's participation in the Summer Promotion. Millenium beat Ninjas in Pyjamas 3-2, securing the team their place in the Summer Split.

The Summer Split started well for Millenium, ending week one in 2nd place behind leaders Alliance. Millenium showed a big improvement in spring, finishing 5th overall. Jree had improved his performances greatly from the previous split, with a number of standout performances on LeonaSquareLeona in particular. Millenium's performance resulted in their qualification for the Summer Playoffs. The playoffs were a major disappointment for Millenium, with the team coming in 6th place without winning a single game.

2015 Season[]

Millenium's troubles in the playoffs meant that they would have to fight for their LCS status in the Spring Promotion. A tight series with Unicorns of Love saw Jree and Millenium eventually lose 2-3.

Jree participated with Millenium in the Expansion Tournament. The team received a bye for Round 1, but were eliminated from the tournament in Round 2 after being beaten by GIANTS! Gaming.
