LOL International Collegiate Championship 2016 is a international college competition hosted by Riot Games and Garena. This season tournament was supposed to be hosted in Thailand. After Bhumibol Adulyadej, the king of Thailand, passed away in 13th October 2016, Garena had decided to change the vanue to Taiwan.

- Taiwan region had one more slot based on being the host of tournament
- Group Stage
- Teams are divided into four groups of two
- Single Round Robin
- Matches are best of one
- Top two teams from each group advance to Knockout Stage
- Knockout Stage
