Choi "Paragon" Hyun-il (Hangul: 최현일) is a retired League of Legends esports player, previously coach for Misfits Gaming.
Biography[]
Season 2[]
Choi "Paragon" Hyun-il joined Team OP as their AD carry in January of 2012 to participate in Azubu The Champions Spring 2012. They made it to the semifinals but ended in fourth place after losing 3-1 to the eventual champions, MiG Blaze, and then 2-1 to Xenics Storm in the third place match. Paragon left the team in May to join Incredible Miracle alongside his teammates a Lilac and Cornsalad. They qualified for Azubu The Champions Summer 2012 by having three of the players from Team OP and taking their spot. Unfortunately, they placed third in their group and failed to make the playoffs. They still earned enough circuit points to qualify for the Season 2 Korea Regional Finals but they lost in the first round 3-1 to NaJin Sword. Incredible Miracle's last event for the season was World e-Sports Masters 2012 where they placed fourth after losing 1-0 to Team WE in the winner's bracket and losing 1-0 to Invictus Gaming in the loser's bracket.
Season 3[]
Incredible Miracle started off the new season by attending OLYMPUS Champions Winter 2012-2013 where they made the quarterfinals but lost 3-2 in the quarterfinals to Azubu Blaze. The team then flew to Brazil to participate in IEM Sao Paulo where they won the whole tournament after winning the finals 2-0 against Anexis eSports. Their victory secured them a spot in the IEM Season VII - World Championship where they got fourth in their group and failed to make the bracket stage. The team flew back to Korea for OLYMPUS Champions Spring 2013 where they placed last overall in their group and missed playoffs. The team's final OGN for the season was HOT6iX Champions Summer 2013 where they continued their streak of poor form by placing last again. Paragon left the team shortly afterwards to reform Team OP.
2014 Season[]
The new Team OP roster tried to qualify for PANDORA.TV Champions Winter 2013-2014 but failed and disbanded again shortly afterwards. In February of 2014, Paragon joined Incredible Miracle 2 as another AD carry to play alongside BetKyo. Paragon played in four of the team's six games in HOT6iX Champions Spring 2014 but the team placed 3rd in their group and still missed playoffs. Paragon left the team about a month later.
2015 Season[]
Paragon joined Winterfox as their coach in January 2015, prior to the start of the 2015 NA LCS Spring Split. He coached the team until the seventh week of the season, when he stepped down from that position to play AD carry while Altec moved to support for the week; however, after that one week, Altec returned to his starting role and former substitute Gleeb rejoined the team as their support. Paragon left the team in May after they were relegated and rejoined Incredible Miracle a month later as a starting AD carry alongside Roar and Sonstar. However, he only played one game during SBENU Champions Summer 2015 and the team ended the season in 9th place, forcing IM to play in the LCK 2016 Season Spring Promotion. Incredible Miracle played the Dark Wolves in the promotion tournament and managed to beat them 3-1 to requalify for the LCK, however Paragon did not play in these games.
2016 Season[]
Paragon left IM when his contract expired in November.
