Biography[]
Jeon "Ray" Ji-won joined AD Gaming in July 2014, as one of the founding members of the team along with Move, BaeMe, Marbee, and Mouse. After an unsuccessful LPL 2015 Summer Promotion series with a quarterfinal loss to Energy Pacemaker in April 2015, he moved to sister team EDward Gaming along with BaeMe in May. Ray played in one series against Snake eSports in the LPL. He left EDG in December 2015.
2016 Season[]
In May 2016, Ray moved to North America to join the newly-qualified NA LCS team Apex Gaming. In the first weekend of the season, he immediately gained recognition among the community for his Fizz and Ekko play, as Apex won both of their series, including a 2-1 upset of reigning NA LCS champions and MSI alums CLG. Their success, however, was short-lived, and despite Ray's deep champion pool and carry-oriented play, by week 5 they were in 7th place, where they remained for the rest of the season, out of reach of the playoffs but also safe from relegations for the 2017 Spring Season. In September, both Team Dignitas and Apex were acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers in September 2016, to play under the Dignitas name.[35]
