Team Forge Academy was the academy team of Team Forge, created with the aim of recruiting and improving players. In May 2017, the team became inactive.
History[]
On May 15th, 2016, Team Forge announced the creation of Team Forge Academy.
2016 Season[]
During the summer, Team Forge announced the will to create a National Roster, called Team Forge ITA: some players from academy and some players from main team would compete in Italian Tournaments.[1]
2017 Season[]
On December 2016, Team Forge Academy tried to qualify for EU CS 2017 Spring Season. They were beaten by GPlay.bg, ended its dream to join Challenger Series. During 2017 Team Forge competed in some Italian tournaments with academy players, keeping National Roster alive. From summer 2017, academy became inactive and all its players moved to the main team.
On September 28th, 2017, Team Forge Academy opened tryouts[2]. On October 2017, Riot Games annouced EU Challenger Series would scrapped. Academy disbaded.
