Team Liquid Academy is the sister team of Team Liquid.
History[]
After merging with Team Curse, Team Liquid formed a second team to compete in the 2015 Spring NACS qualifier. The initial lineup included zig, beibei, Ennui, KEITHMCBRIEF (who switched back to AD carry from support), and JoJo. Nyjacky also joined the team, as a streamer and also as a substitute for both teams.[1]
For the 2015 Summer NACS qualifier, a new lineup was formed. zig and KEITHMCBRIEF remained, but beibei, Ennui and JoJo left, replaced by Grigne, Youngbin, and Matlife, respectively. Warlock joins as coach. [2] After a first-round victory over Zenith, Team Liquid Academy lost to tournament-favorites Misfits and were eliminated. In November, Liquid Academy played in the HTC Ascension tournament, which they won with a finals victory over Team Frostbite.
2016 Season[]
After an undefeated NACS Open Qualifier and main qualifier run, including two more series wins over Frostbite, Liquid Academy entered the NACS Spring Season. Prior to the start of the NACS season, but partway through the NA LCS season, Team Liquid shuffled rosters with their Academy team: IWDominate and Smoothie swapped with Dardoch and Matt, with IWDominate retiring after one week in the Challenger Series. He was replaced first by Zary and later by Akaadian. Despite Liquid Academy's position as favorites going into the season, after these roster changes they looked significantly weaker, and the only series they went 2-0 in was in their first week with IWDominate on the team. That victory earned them an automatic tiebreaker win over Dream Team, and they made the playoffs with the fourth seed, but they lost immediately to Apex Gaming.
After the split ended, Team Liquid Academy rebuilt their roster, with Solo, Moon, Goldenglue, and Stunt joining; fabbbyyy was the only player to remain on the roster.

- April (approx.), new roster is revealed. Ron, Chorong, Arcsecond, Youngbin, and KonKwon join. Saintvicious and TheOddOrange join as subs.
- April (approx.), roster disbands.
- April 26, NACS Qualifiers spot and roster of Team 8.1 is acquired. sexycan, ShorterACE, Slooshi, cake, Ken, Viper, Maplestreet, and Sistar join.[7]
- April (approx.), roster disbands.
- January 22, Smoothie joins. Lourlo, FeniX, and Piglet join as subs. Dardoch and Matt move to sub. IWDominate will sub in for 2016 NACS Spring Season - Week 1. Painless leaves.
- January 30, Zary joins.
- February 5, Akaadian joins. Zary leaves.
- March 1, Lourlo, Dardoch, FeniX, Piglet, and Matt leave. Painless rejoins as a sub.
- March 3, chocopie joins as a sub.
- April 21, Youngbin leaves.[8]

- June 16, Moon moves back to starting jungler. Dardoch moves to sub.
- June 22, Piglet moves to starting AD carry. fabbbyyy moves to sub.
- July 8, IWDominate joins as a sub. Painless rejoins as a sub. Lourlo, Dardoch, FeniX, and Matt leave.
- July 13, bobqinXD joins as a sub. IWDominate leaves.
- August 29, Stunt leaves.[12]
- November 22, team's NACS spot is acquired by eUnited.[13]
- January 16, team is formed. zig, beibei, Ennui, KEITHMCBRIEF, JoJo, and Nyjacky join.[14]
- May (approx.), jokasteve moves to managing Team Liquid's CS:GO team.
- May 20, new team is formed. beibei, Ennui, Nyjacky, and JoJo leave, Warlock joins as coach and Grigne, Youngbin, and Matt join as players.[15]
- July 1, KEITHMCBRIEF is assigned to Team SoloMid.[16]
- August (approx.), Dardoch joins. Grigne leaves.
- September 7, Peter joins as coach.[17]
- September 28, Peter leaves.
